DONATIONS
Windridge Solitude
maintains itself on the salaries of three of the sisters who work in outside
ministries, but it grows and flourishes through generous donations of persons who believe God is worth
spending time with. We invite you to be one of those persons who joins
us in this endeavor. Your gift, whatever the amount, has the spiritual
benefit of our vigilant prayer as your name is added to our list of benefactors.
All material contributions are tax
deductible because
Windridge Solitude is a ministry of Companions in the Infinite Love
which
is a not-for-profit, tax exempt 501(c)(3) religious organization. Therefore, make all
donations to Companions in the Infinite Love.
[Check our website if you wish more information about
us: www.CompanionsInfiniteLove.org.]
Your donations support the natural preservation of the land, the hidden ministry
of prayer, and the mission of
Windridge Solitude.
Your donations will NOT be used for administrative costs because we do all the
work ourselves. And that's a promise we will keep!
GOOD NEWS!! Due to
successful fundraising, we have been able to build another cottage! Now
there are three available for guests: Visitation (built in 1999), Breath of God
(built in 2000), and Faithful Love (built in 2007).
Here are some of the ways you could
donate to this ministry (if you know more ways, please let us know):
-
Monthly or annual contribution
to augment our capital funds which directly serve our ministry
-
Adopt-a-bill (for example, the
monthly electricity bill for one of the cottages which is, on average, about
$30)
-
United Way (oftentimes this
will include matching funds from your company) - all you need to do is
inform United Way of the EIN or tax identification number recognized by the
IRS for our 501(c)(3) status and United Way will direct your contributions
to Windridge
Solitude via Companions in the Infinite Love
just like it will any other charity. (United Way is regional and some
regions require a "charity number" for their records. Calling your
United Way will give you that information. If you are in St. Louis we
are already recognized by them in their retreat category under the name
Windridge Solitude.)If you are interested in directing all or part of your United Way
contributions to us, just email us or give us a call and we will tell you
our EIN.
-
Bequests within your will
-
Stocks/capital gains
Here are some of the material things we
need:
-
John Deere 5200 (minimum size)
tractor with cab (to replace tractor without cab; approximately $14,000 with
trade-in)
-
Kawasaki Mule (to replace
aging Mule; approximately $9500 with trade-in)
-
Land acquisition (to protect
the solitude and wildlife; an acre costs approximately $3,000)
-
Land care (we take our
stewardship seriously; costs vary according to the project; for example, a
retaining wall just put in to control erosion cost $3,000, while a leaking
dam just rebuilt cost $25,000)
-
Cottage ($75,000) If donating the full amount, the
cottage could have a plaque on it honoring you as the
benefactor or your intention, such as, "In memory of our beloved son _____".
And about the spiritual things? We will always need the spiritual
things too, like love, faithfulness, trust, fortitude. So we ask you to
keep us in your prayer.
Thank you!
